Social Media Manager

Job Description:

As a Social Media Manager, you will play a critical role in transforming creative ideation and concepts into engaging, visually appealing, powerful social media content that stops the scroll. You will understand and execute brand voice from a variety of clients and speak on their behalf through community and reputation management across many different social media platforms. 


You should have extensive knowledge of and experience with all social media platforms and be able to provide in-depth recommendations based on best practices guided by the strategic direction of our Digital Marketing Director. You should be comfortable with and open to creating graphics, videos and other collateral in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite and be able to take insights from data tools to make informed decisions on optimizing content and creative needs. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage social media strategy for B2B and B2C clients across diverse industries. Cultivate strong client relationships by understanding their goals and tailoring effective social media strategies. Answer client questions with clear, thoughtful expertise, and manage communications via email and calls, presenting expert insights and data.
  • Manage and optimize social media campaigns on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, etc. Stay updated on emerging trends and algorithms for optimal campaign performance, recommending additional platforms as needed. Use data to inform content pivots.
  • Develop and execute custom cross-platform social media strategies based on each client's goals, incorporating influencer relationships and reputation management. Craft compelling, brand-voice-specific content for a distinctive presence across all channels.
  • Recommend and manage boosted post strategies to enhance organic content, collaborating with the paid media strategist to optimize campaigns. Drive creative ideation sessions to develop engaging content and translate strategic objectives into captivating visuals and messages.
  • Create consistent social media content plans and calendars, including strategic approaches to creative development, copy, URL usage, and hashtag strategy. Develop custom photo, video, and animation content using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Maintain social media channels, including creating posts, running promotions, growing followers, and increasing engagement. Optimize company pages to boost visibility. Align social media messaging with PR and other digital marketing tactics, providing growth recommendations based on client goals.
  • Implement inbound marketing strategies to attract, engage, and delight audiences. Leverage content marketing to create cohesive brand narratives. Develop go-to-market strategies to drive brand awareness and leads. Utilize Account-Based Marketing (ABM) to target specific clients and industries, driving impactful campaigns.
  • Employ growth marketing strategies to expand social media reach, increase brand visibility, and drive conversions. Track and analyze key performance indicators to optimize campaigns. Integrate organic social media with other digital marketing tactics, making recommendations for a successful digital program.
  • Prepare KPI reports on social media efforts, defining metrics and key takeaways for client insights. Adhere to campaign timelines and analyze data to meet goals and identify new opportunities.
  • Report to the Digital Marketing Director and collaborate with PR and digital marketing teams. Lead updates on social media tasks, troubleshoot issues, and innovate for improved results. Manage a fast-paced workflow, ensuring timely execution of initiatives while fostering a collaborative team environment. Communicate effectively and respectfully with timely project updates.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Media, PR, Communications, Integrated Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of agency experience managing multiple B2B and B2C clients.
  • Extensive expertise in executing tailored social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, etc., using tools like Sprout Social, Facebook Insights, LinkedIn Reporting, Databox, and more.
  • Proven skills in copywriting, creative ideation, inbound marketing, go-to-market strategies, ABM, and growth marketing with a strong ability to pivot strategies based on analytics.
  • Exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven track record of flawless task execution, managing multiple projects in high-paced environments.
  • Desirable skills include direct experience in leading social media strategy and campaigns, as well as experience with graphic design and photo/video editing.
