Social Media Manager

Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruiting a passionate and creative Social Media Manager to assist with storytelling for our educator audiences on social media channels. Reporting to the Director of Social Media Content, you will play a key role in supporting the creation and execution of Scholastic’s content calendar, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall success of Scholastic’s social media initiatives.


What You'll do:

  • Implement social media content strategies set by the Director of Social Media, ensuring alignment with inter-department goals, the clients core literacy mission, and audience needs.
  • Participate in planning sessions for new ideas and campaigns.
  • Assist in strategic social media projects, such as entering new social media channels or key campaigns, occasionally taking the lead.
  • Coordinate with the Paid Social team to integrate paid support into organic social strategies.
  • Tailor content for diverse platforms, leveraging the unique strengths of each to drive site traffic, awareness, and engagement for our clients programs.
  • Translate social media strategies into well-thought, descriptive creative briefs.
  • Produce copy and messaging for new social assets and posts.
  • Work with the social analytics team to measure and translate content performance into actionable future strategies.
  • Assist in setting goals based on past performance and internal partner priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and emerging social media trends, ideating on ways they can be incorporated into Scholastic business goals.
  • Serve as a knowledge leader for current and emerging social platforms, understanding best practices and ways to drive Scholastic goals.
  • Provide guidance and support for social technologies (e.g., live-streaming, video recording).


Qualifications:

  • Passionate about books, reading, and spreading literacy worldwide.
  • 4+ years of experience in social media and/or marketing specifically in the education or children's media sector.
  • Experience in education, children’s media, or entertainment
  • Experience working on the social content strategy and brand voice of a multifaceted organization across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok).
  • Proven track record of implementing successful organization-wide social media content strategies.
  • Fluent with social media management technology, such as Sprinklr (or similar), and workflow systems such as Airtable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage varied audiences. Grammar enthusiasts are welcome.
  • Knowledge of applying data-driven insights to content strategy, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in a wide range of social media content formats (written, video, static images). Bonus points for video and photo editing skills.
  • Highly proficient in decision-making, prioritizing, and problem-solving.
