Background:

Compassion in World Farming was founded in 1967 by a British farmer who became horrified by the development of modern, intensive factory farming. We have since become the leading farm animal welfare charity and today we campaign peacefully to end all factory farming practices. In 2014 we established Compassion in World Farming Inc, our US branch.

Requirements

Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) US is seeking a part-time, fixed contract social media freelancer to play a vital role in expanding our reach and promoting our mission to end factory farming. Your responsibilities will be social media management, community engagement, content creation, and strategic support.

Services:

Social Media Management

• Manage CIWF US' social media channels (focusing on Instagram, Facebook, and X) and engage with our online community by responding to messages and comments.
• Develop and publish compelling content on our social media channels to engage and inform our audience, within the topics of farmed animal welfare and animal-sourced foods reduction, 3 to 5 posts per week expected.
• Track performance and improve the content strategy
• (Lower priority for now) Collaborate with influencers to amplify our reach
• Be available for weekly 30-minute check-ins with our Public Engagement Manager.
  
  

This is a part-time, fixed contract role and is not to be deemed an employment contract. The successful contractor will be self-employed for all purposes.
