Social Media Coordinator - Remote | WFH

Position: Social Media Coordinator

Employment Type: Part-time (30 hours per week)

Compensation: Starting at $25 per hour, negotiable based on experience

Location:

Hybrid for candidates in the Austin, TX area

Fully remote for candidates located elsewhere

Job Duties

Audience Research: Understand audience preferences and stay updated on current trends.

Content Creation: Develop and post engaging text, image, and video content.

Design and Engagement: Design posts that spark curiosity and generate buzz around new products.

Performance Monitoring: Measure web traffic, monitor SEO, and stay informed about changes in social media platforms for optimal effectiveness.

Customer Interaction: Facilitate online conversations, respond to queries, and report on customer reviews and feedback.

Scheduling: Develop an optimal posting schedule based on web traffic and customer engagement metrics.

Account Management: Oversee the layout of social media accounts and suggest new ways to attract prospective customers through promotions and competitions.

Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in multiple social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)

Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics

Ability to create engaging content (text, image, and video)

Familiarity with online marketing strategies and channels

Ability to anticipate future digital trends and act proactively

Excellent communication skills

Strong multitasking and analytical abilities

Education And Experience

1 year of experience as a Social Media Coordinator or Junior Social Media Manager preferred

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, New Media, or a relevant field preferred

Knowledge of the Tech/PC industry is a plus

Understanding of Twitch and YouTube creators and culture is desirable

Physical Demands

Ability to sit or stand for the duration of the workday

Ability to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor throughout the workday
