Part-Time Social Media Coordinator - Join our Creative Digital Marketing Team!

Are you a creative and tech-savvy individual passionate about social media and the hospitality industry? We are seeking a talented part-time Social Media Coordinator to join our nationally recognized, women-owned communications agency, Postcard Communications. As a key member of our Digital Marketing team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the online presence of our diverse hospitality clients through engaging social media campaigns.

Our ideal candidate loves working with restaurants, food products, beverages, cookbooks, and their teams. They are proficient and enthusiastic about all aspects of social media, with the ability to capture and tell a strong, engaging story. They will be a strong writer and communicator, trend spotter, and creative brainstormer with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is both independent and a team player.

This is a part-time position with the potential to turn into full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Campaigns: Writing engaging captions for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, curating effective hashtags, and scheduling content via third party platforms. Responding to comments or messages promptly as well as providing support on campaign planning. Identifying and implementing trends and viral audios across social media platforms.
• Analytics and Insights: Monitoring social media analytics to measure campaign success and providing data-driven recommendations for further improvement.
• Content Creation: Developing original and captivating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) that effectively communicates the unique stories of our clients including personalities, restaurants, cookbooks, CPGs, and culinary institutions.
• Photography and Videography: Showcase your photography skills by capturing eye-catching visuals during regular restaurant and CPG shoots, as well as event photography, using a DSLR camera. Capture and edit engaging video content for Reels and TikTok.
• Graphic Design: Utilize your design expertise to create compelling social media graphics.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and video editing for Reels and TikTok, DSLR photography, and Canva.
• Social Media Influencers: Identify local and national influencers for client campaigns. Help create materials for influencer outreach.   
• Availability for Hybrid Work: Our team works from home but content creation sometimes takes place on-site at clients’ restaurants. 
• Collaborating with Clients: Coordinate weekly/bi-weekly client meetings and help with agenda creation, detailed note taking, and follow-up with next steps.
