A Social Media Coordinator plays an integral role in the execution of client projects and programs, including gathering information and compiling reports; assisting with content creation and page management; collecting and reporting results; and, researching feasibility of program ideas and tactics.
Qualifications Required:
B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
Up to one (1) year of experience in a public relations agency/digital agency or similar position with social media experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprinklr) and native platform analytics tools
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Work with team members to implement client social projects
Develop timelines and manage deadlines
Advise team members on developments; proactively update the team on status
Determine the need for support staff assistance for projects/program elements and manage support staff during execution
Coordinate and set-up meetings, team/client files, etc.
Attend client calls and meetings, as determined by a supervisor
Research ideas for client programs to determine feasibility, including relevant influencer or content creator partners
Monitor brand channels and overall social platforms for proactive brand opportunities or watchouts
Assist in daily community management across relevant social platforms for designated clients
Contribute to monthly or quarterly content calendars by drafting copy utilizing approved brand tone of voice
Organize and compile social media assets, internally and externally
Assist in monthly reporting and tracking of owned social content and/or influencer content
Post content natively to relevant social channels as per the calendar
Stay up-to-date on social platform developments and demonstrate proficiency in understanding and utilizing said platform updates
Participate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programs
Begin to develop strategic/creative thinking skills
Actively participate in agency committees or departments as designated/asked
Participate in agency projects and events
Assist with research for new business and business renewal opportunities, as directed by a supervisor
Ability to:
Manage multiple projects across multiple accounts
Prioritize work, meet deadlines and actively communicate progress and deliverables (i.e. time management)
Learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Work from the company’s offices in New York City; travel in and around the city (including the outer boroughs and suburbs) to complete tasks
Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
Accurately record time worked and paid time-off in the timeclock and timesheet systems
Demonstrate solid writing and interpersonal communication skills
Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $23.00-$25.00 hourly rate. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
