About the Role:

Join our team at Dr. Squatch as a Social Media Associate! We’re seeking a creative individual who thrives in social media content creation, has a great sense of humor, and the technical skills to bring it all together. In this role, you’ll be crafting engaging content and connecting with our Dr. Squatch fans on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating entertaining content, skilled in technical writing, video shooting, and editing. We're looking for someone who keeps up with social media trends and is excited to bring their comedic acting to life in front of the camera. Additionally, you should be well-versed in social media both as a user and a creator, with the ability to produce high-quality content that showcases our products effectively.

This role will report to the Social Media Manager.

This is a full-time employment opportunity with salary and benefits in a growth-focused & collaborative team environment. This will be a hybrid position with an onsite requirement 1-2 days per week at our HQ office in Marina Del Rey, CA, with additional days as necessary.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $66,560 to $75,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

• Create fun and engaging content for our organic social channels: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Content includes videos, tweets, and meme images.
• Create educational content for company products and our giveback program.
• Create promotional content for Dr. Squatch products, sales, and partnerships.
• Research current memes and trends to produce topical social content.
• Regularly engage with our followers and UGC with the Dr. Squatch brand voice to connect with our community.
• Collaborate with the Social Content Team.
• Analyze performance on a weekly basis and provide recommendations based on data.
• Assist the Social Media Manager with other duties as needed.
  
  

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Video production preferred.
• Strong editing skillset in Premiere Pro, TikTok, Photoshop, and CapCut.
• Someone who is up to date with social trends, memes, pop culture.
• Someone who is comfortable performing on camera and has an electric on-camera personality.
• Experience with creating content for social media platforms, including (but not limited to) TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• Excellent filming/video editing skills and audio editing experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
• Possess a passion for visual storytelling and a desire to learn more.
• Someone who is energetic, witty, and willing to take creative risks.
• Someone who gets things done without perfect resources, is innovative and works with a sense of urgency.
• Someone who has high standards, takes ownership, and is invested in the outcome.
