This Security Account Manager position is part of a US Sales Team focused on SECURITY sales within the State, Local, and Education (SLED) Sector. The role involves selling security products or services to government agencies, municipalities, schools, universities, and other public institutions. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quotas in the assigned territory through direct customer sales, maintaining control of accounts even when business is booked through channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines.
- Follow a structured selling process.
- Responsible for booking business according to company policies and revenue recognition standards.
- Understand customer business needs and how our products impact their operations.
- Develop strong relationships and act as a coach within accounts.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities at 4X quota, consistently prospecting in new or existing accounts.
- Engage with multiple levels within customer organizations.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing technical support for accounts.
- Align with company strategy and direction.
- Candidates should be located in NY, NJ, VA, TX, FL, GA, or MA with access to a major airport.
Experience Requirements
- Over 5 years of sales experience in network security.
- Over 5 years of sales experience in large IT/Data Centers and the CISO office.
- Over 5 years of experience in IT network security solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience in the SLED market segment.
- Proven track record of success demonstrated by territory/professional growth.
- Solid understanding of technology, market, and client profile.
- Consistent achievement of sales quotas.
- Established customers, contacts, and thorough territory knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with large, complex accounts.
- Strong skills in sourcing, pursuing, and closing new business.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
