ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

This is an outdoor light up forest trail giving guests a chance to walk into the depths of a dark forest and discover iconic moments from a cherished media brand illuminated like never before. The experience includes beautiful photo ops, themed food & drink, and a chance to stop by the market to browse merchandise.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Site Manager role is pivotal to the successful delivery of our event in Leesburg. You will be the lead and main point of contact for all technical, logistical, and site related aspects of the event, always ensuring world class delivery and exceptional customer service.

Based in Leesburg, the Site Manager will sit within the local Site Management Team and report directly to the Local Production Manager and the Global Production team. The Site Manager will lead all departments installing and tearing down the show, and will be responsible for liaising with the production and management teams on site and ensuring that the site and venue are show ready during the operation phase. The Site Manager will also be prepared to manage any incidents, unplanned works and other situations as they arise and must be able to follow procedures set out by the US Producers and Production Partners.

LOCATION

  • Pre-Production / Load In Phase - Remote/on-site training, and beginning full time on site work for full load in period September 16th through October 26, 2024. There will be additional meetings required before Sept 16.
  • Load Out / Post-Production Phase - On site for the two week load-out period in early February, potential to assist with additional logistic management afterwards.

REMUNERATION

$350/day or based on experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall responsibility and main point of contact for all technical departments including, but not limited to: lighting, audio, video, power, props, local labor, security, etc.
  • Manage implementation of Load In or Load Out schedules including overlap of all departments in coordination with the Local Production Manager and the Global Production Team.
  • Manage vendors and external teams with equipment rentals and returns, scheduling, and local labor allocations
  • Conduct daily H&S meetings, manage, implement and follow safety procedures and guidelines when dealing with incidents on site and confirm all crew are appropriately certified, etc.
  • Help recruit and manage an Assistant Site/Trail Manager under the direction of the Global Production team, including day to day management of this position.
  • Assist with control of the site in the event of adverse weather conditions- ensuring all wind management and safety plans are adhered to
  • Implementation of The Event Safety Management Plans and ensuring they are updated to reflect any local laws or regulations.
  • Crew welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • Previous experience managing large outdoor festivals, Illumination trails or outdoor experiential events.
  • At least 3 years of previous relevant experience in a related industry.
  • Exceptional observation skills.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Must have people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be an effective communicator, team oriented and have strong leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
