Site Microbiologist (Principal Scientist) - Permanent - Framingham, MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Site Microbiologist to act as a technical lead for Quality Control (QC) Microbiology programs in a dynamic biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This is a permanent position located in Framingham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in microbiology systems.

Skills & Requirements:

• Laboratory-based experience in a Microbiology testing capacity within a regulated environment.
• Experience implementing contamination control strategies for viral drug substance and product manufacturing.
• Experience in setting up testing laboratory processes and supporting a manufacturing facility.

The Site Microbiologist will:

• Establish and maintain QC Microbiology systems to support facility testing requirements.
• Act as a technical lead for virus contamination control strategies and relevant activities related to regulatory filings.
• Lead a team to ensure completion of change control and deviations related to QC Microbiology operations, including investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Oversee environmental, water, and gas monitoring programs, including clean room suite qualifications.
• Collaborate with the routine QC testing team on bioburden, endotoxin, microbial ID analysis, and raw materials testing.
