Job Description

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Professional Site Civil Engineer to work out of our Fort Wayne regional office. Qualified candidates should expect to work on a variety of Site Civil projects and be motivated, flexible, and able to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Design institutional, commercial, and residential site development projects
  • Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications
  • Perform grading and drainage design
  • Permitting and utility design
  • Conduct various phases of transportation design
  • Hydraulic analysis
  • Prepare report figures/documents
  • Create Conceptual and Feasibility project evaluations
  • Prepare design reports
  • Develop contract documents
  • Bidding assistance
  • Construction Engineering support services


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-bachelor degree experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Indiana is a plus (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
  • INDOT & LPA design and permitting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
