This role is pivotal in driving strategic planning and ensuring seamless coordination across various departments to meet customer demands and company goals.
Position Overview:
As the SIOP Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process. You will play a critical role in aligning production and inventory levels with demand forecasts to optimize the balance between customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position demands a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
SIOP Process Management: Lead and manage the SIOP process, ensuring accurate demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to align on forecasted demand, production plans, and inventory targets.
Data Analysis: Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and production schedules to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the SIOP process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Reporting & Communication: Develop and maintain SIOP metrics and reports, providing regular updates to senior management on performance and key issues.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SIOP, demand planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative initiatives.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
