The Shop Technician will be responsible for various general duties in the fabrication shop. These duties include, but are not limited to, material handling, operating basic and powered hand tools, and assisting the machine operators and welders when necessary.
Responsibilities
Material Handling
Inventory housekeeping.
Loading and unloading material for various machines.
Assisting in unloading incoming material.
Assisting in packaging material/finished goods for outgoing shipments.
Operating basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) for assembly and disassembly of various items.
Operating of basic power tools (grinders, sanders, hand drills, etc.) to assist with deburring, sanding and drilling products.
Assist with shop/machine maintenance.
Perform general shop duties assigned by the Shop Leads and/or Plant Manager.
Qualifications
Sheet metal fabrication and general machining familiarity.
High attention to detail.
High Mechanical Aptitude.
Must observe good housekeeping and safety habits.
Should have a positive, professional attitude with a strong work ethic.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Forklift experience is a plus.
