MISCOwater is hiring a Shop and Field Service Instrumentation Technician to work in our service facility located in Tempe, AZ. This is an on-site position.
What you will do:
Diagnose, tear down and rebuild valve actuators, analyzers, and chemical feed equipment used for water and wastewater service. Document work using service report and provide description of reason for failure.
Prepare parts list required for repairs
Communicate effectively with customers, sales team, and service department
Test and calibrate equipment after it has been rebuilt using test equipment such as Voltmeter, mA generator, analog gauges, etc.
Observe all safety practices and maintain a clean working environment
Operate forklift to load and unload trucks. Stock equipment.
Travel to local customer sites. Overnight travel up to 5%
Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience within a field/shop technician role
Basic electrical/ electronic and mechanical knowledge
Clean DMV record and a valid driver license
Competent with tools and basic mechanical practices.
Must be able to troubleshoot equipment using deductive reasoning skills
Able to lift 75Lbs
Able to work with minimum supervision
Intermediate computers skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Desired Experience:
College or technical school degree/ diploma
Knowledge of 4 – 20 milliamp loops.
