Job Summary
Supervises shipping, receiving and warehouse functions and coordinates activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products by use of conveyors, cranes, hoists, or industrial trucks.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervises shipping, receiving and warehouse functions
Studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities
Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products
Maintains a well-organized, safety oriented and team oriented work area and work force
Ensures state, Federal and company guidelines are met regarding transportation, storage, labeling, marking, reporting, training and handling associated with hazardous material
Maintains records of Government Furnished Material
Maintains records of explosive material for audit by ATF
Trains material handlers on proper labeling techniques/procedures
Will be required to be 49 CFR 49 certified CDL Class B with HazMat endorsement is a plus
Maintain Forklift certification and provide training on site to all Forklift drivers at ARO
Maintains certifications for transportation/shipping/receiving explosive material
Interprets company policies to workers and assigns duties
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
Recommends measures to improve shipping/receiving/storage methods, equipment performance, and quality of warehouse operations
Responsible for the overall directions, coordination, and evaluation of 3 – 5 warehouse employees
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Material Manager.
Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
Understands and lives by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies
Qualifications
Must be well organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must possess ability to compose letters and correspondence
Familiarity with business math, internet, calculator, copier, telephone and fax machine
Possesses an outstanding degree of judgment, organization, planning, initiative, flexibility and creativity.
Focuses on accuracy, concentration, alertness, and is detail-oriented
Must be able to perform calmly and reasonably under pressure from demand for production and other exigencies.
Must be resourceful and very creative, especially since suitable equipment may not always be available
Physical capabilities require lifting materials up to 50 pounds, walking up and down steps, to various programs as the situation warrants and is possible exposed to loud noises.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
2 year college degree or equivalent experience
5-7 years’ experience in similar job setting

Good communication skills and high degree of integrity.
Able to interface and work productively with sub-ordinates, peers and upper management.
Ability to read and write English
