Shift Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Child Care Workers daily activities, monitoring program standards to ensure safety and the delivery of comprehensive program services for youth. This position sees that tasks are completed, and employees are motivated to work effectively. The Shift Supervisor implements the daily schedule and manages daily operations to monitor and control service delivery and preservation of a safe and therapeutic environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coaches Child Care Workers, encouraging, planning, correcting, and maintaining constant communication with team members.
Provides Child Care Workers with guidance, support, compassion and structure through mentoring, role modeling, and the integrations of VQ fabric to promote personal growth and development.
Responsible for the supervision, safety, preservation of youth rights, and overall care of the youth.
Assigns duties and responsibilities, resolves conflicts among employees, assures policies, rules, and regulations are followed. SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to listen actively.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong organizational and problem solving skills. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent degree.
1+ year experience working with kids (preferably in a residential setting).
1+ year experience supervising and training staff.
1+ year managing case documentations. QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
Must have a valid drivers license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
