Shift Lead/Supervisor

Job Function

Plan, coordinate and assist with the shift operations of the cast plant by ensuring that the quality production of products is consistent with established standards by performing the following duties through the Shift Supervisor/Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

• Follow prescribed Safety Regulations and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Safety Coordinator
• Ability to follow instructions, read and understand Attribute Sheets, gages, Work Instructions, setup sheets, etc.
• Perform daily paperwork requirements and fill out timecards accurately
• Ability to identify defects and understand the level of quality that the customer demands
• Report any machine problems to Supervisor/Operations Manager immediately
• Maintain housekeeping for the entire operation
• Educate, train and assist co-workers with Safety, shift operations of the die cast machines and quality operations
• Ability to identify, correct, document and report personnel issues
• Understand die cast machine fundamentals and basic operation
• Perform daily maintenance on machines
• Communicate with Shift Supervisor/Operations Manager and other operators on the status of the job running
• Assist in keeping production running efficiently and production consistent
• Quality Policy Awareness and compliance with the company's employee handbook policies and procedures
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands
  
  

Qualifiications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year or more of related experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents and blueprints
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
• Regularly lift and / or move up to 75 pounds
