From your PASSION to ours

The Production Shift Lead works closely with the Production Shift Supervisor to reach established KPIs and production order goals established for their shift.

This is a full-time opportunity, on a 2 – 2 – 3 rotation, 6:00AM to 06:30 PM.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key Responsibilities For This Position Include

• Organizes breaks for all filling, packaging, and fruit operators.
• Organizes changeovers and minimizes downtime.
• Reports all incidents and/or accidents to Shift Supervisor or other member of management.
• Ensures that the filling and packaging areas stay clean. Organizes cleaning during downtimes.
• Any unusual losses need to be addressed immediately to the Shift Supervisor.
• Must be able to operate all filling and packaging equipment to fulfill the daily requirements according to the production schedule.
• Monitor and control all filling weights, filling speeds, temperatures, pressures, and flow of product throughout the processing cycle in accordance with established quality assurance standards.
• Must be able to operate palletizer, robot, and have stand-up pallet jack experience.
• Ensures that quality assurance checks occur every 30 minutes throughout the shift.
• Ensures that packaging crews are rotating throughout different line positions.
• Trains new production operators.
• Provide coverage, as needed, for Supervisor, Operators, Packagers, and Transports.
• Perform any other assigned tasks, including project work, development of training materials and process improvements.
  
  
  

Requirements

Qualified Applicants Will Contribute The Following

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED.)
• Certification in food safety (e.g., SQF, HACCP) a plus.
• Previous experience in a dairy processing facility preferred.
  
  
  

Skills / Abilities / Knowledge

• Excellent leadership and communication skills. Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
• Strong mechanical and mathematical abilities
• Proven ability to collaborate in a fast-paced production environment.
• Average ability to navigate Microsoft 365.
• Proficient in SAP.
• Must be able to possess and maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company.
• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and stretch/reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance on stairs.
• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
