We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our organizational processes and operations at our company in CA. This role is crucial in ensuring high productivity, efficiency, and quality across our operations. The Operations Manager will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Shop General Foreman, Purchasing Manager, and Shipping Manager to coordinate and schedule projects for production.

Role: Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental managers to set strategic objectives and understand operational requirements.
• Analyze departmental budgets to identify opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
• Engage in long-term planning to align operational activities with company goals and objectives.
• Organize workflow to ensure adherence to specifications and deadlines.
• Monitor and drive production activities to achieve project deadlines and targets.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of production teams and personnel.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to schedule planned maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and procurement.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding changes in company priorities and project statuses.
• Identify potential operational challenges and friction points, and implement solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.
• Enforce regulatory and safety standards to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.
• Inspire and motivate employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives.
• Continuously improve the quality of products through effective quality management practices.
• Implement Lean Principles to eliminate waste and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure adherence to work schedules and effective job assignment across all production cells.
  
  

Work Experience

• Minimum 10 years of related experience as a Project or Construction Manager.
• Extensive knowledge of fabrication standards and procedures, including AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Proven ability to interpret shop and design blueprint drawings.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
• General knowledge of 3D modeling systems, particularly Tekla.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
  
  

Work Environment

This position requires flexibility in working hours, including long days, evenings, and weekends as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities. Regular travel up to 25% may be required. The role involves indoor office work in a climate-controlled environment, with frequent visits to outdoor plant facilities. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of acceptable insurance are required.
