We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Director to join our team in the Aerospace OEM industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and managing quality management systems, directing audits with major Aerospace OEMs, and possessing in-depth knowledge of industry-specific processes such as investment casting and material testing. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in the aerospace sector.
Salary: 200k - 250k
Key Responsibilities
Establish and manage AS-9100 / ISO9001 quality management systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Direct and oversee audits, ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary Aerospace OEM customers, understanding their qualification processes and ensuring alignment with our quality objectives.
Utilize extensive knowledge of investment casting industry processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Oversee laboratory equipment and practices for testing super alloy materials, ensuring accurate and reliable results in compliance with industry standards.
Lead efforts related to export controls and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and facilitating smooth international transactions.
Lead the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS), incorporating best practices and industry standards.
Develop and implement work instructions, quality plans (QPs), process control plans, and other necessary documentation to ensure consistent and reliable manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management roles within the aerospace industry.
