Service Writer

Tri-State Bobcat, a premier leader in compact equipment is adding to our team! We are looking for a Equipment Service Writer to deliver outstanding customer service, is detailed on paperwork, and can manage the work process from beginning to end. This position is in Burnsville, M-F 7:30-5:00, paying from $26.00 to $29.00 an hour with great company benefits and career advancement! Position Summary: The Equipment Service Writer is responsible for working with customers to determine their service and repair needs for the multiple lines of construction and outdoor power equipment the company represents. Success in this position requires superior customer service, effective scheduling of work to be completed, technical knowledge of the equipment being repaired, maintaining high standards for work completed and prompt and proper processing of invoices. The Equipment Service Writer has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational ability and excellent attention to detail. Consistent work hours with no evenings. Duties and Responsibilities: Consults with customers and creates estimates for necessary equipment service and repair work Ensures that customer approves and signs off on details and costs of equipment work to be completed Creates work orders and schedules work to be completed Monitors progress of work by service technicians and any needed parts orders Keeps customers updated as to progress of work and any issues which may arise Performs final quality check before customer is notified that work is completed Responsible for the prompt and proper processing of all invoices Addresses customer issues Communicates with other departments regularly to ensure all internal work orders are processed as needed Supervises technicians and mechanics, sets work direction based on work orders Manages shop supplies and tool replacement needs, company uniforms Requirements: A minimum of two years' experience in equipment service and repair operations Experience with CDK IntelliDealer software or similar software Superior customer service skills Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills Skilled in use of MS Office applications Company Benefits: 3 Health Insurance plans to choose from Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life and AD&D Supplemental Life and AD&D available PTO and MNESSL 7 Paid Holidays 401K program with company match and a vast variety of investment options Competitive Wages and career advancement!
