Service Technician - Remote

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing Team Modern’s Convenience Store, Vending, and Foodservice customers with routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen and beverage bar equipment located within our customers’ facilities across six states.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on commercial beverage equipment, including coffee brewers, tea brewers, grinders, cappuccino machines, frozen beverage machines, and iced coffee machines.
• Install and set up commercial beverage equipment.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.
• Manage time and resources efficiently to minimize costs and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Participate in technical training and obtain relevant certifications or qualifications as required.
• Be open to learning from experienced technicians and be willing to share knowledge with colleagues.
• Strive to build customer relationships and understand their evolving needs and expectations.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by building positive relationships with colleagues.
• Any additional task assigned by manager; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Required / Desired Experience And Skills

• Must have prior maintenance experience and knowledge of manual and electrical tools.
• Must have strong technical and customer service background.
• Must be a team player that works cross-functionally with all departments to succeed.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration preferred.
• Prior experience with or certifications for any of the following will be a plus:
• Commercial foodservice and/or beverage equipment
• Espresso and/or specialty beverage equipment
• Refrigeration equipment
• Vending machines
  
  

Additional Information

Schedule : Monday – Friday; Typically, 6:30a-3:00p with occasional overtime. On-call occasionally on weekends and holidays for service requests. There is potential for 7-8 hours of driving time to and from jobs. There is potential for overnight stays for long-distance jobs or training.

Physical Demands :The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Must be able to complete and maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification.

Working Conditions : Daily travel throughout assigned territory starting from our Equipment Sales and Service office location in Somerset, Kentucky in varying traffic and weather conditions.
