What opportunity is available?

Clearview’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) practice is looking to hire a full-time Service Support Engineer. This new hire will report to the Director of IT Operations.

What will this new hire do?

The Service Support Engineer provides customer service and technical expertise to Clearview’s clients. This position will diagnose and troubleshoot issues and help clients with general information system support. Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Service Support Engineer will often be the first point of contact for clients seeking support, requiring the individual in this role to have strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

  • Accept incoming client troubleshooting calls and make outbound calls in response to email requests
  • Communicate both written and orally with clients
  • Troubleshoot client-side issues via screenshare tools
  • Troubleshoot server and cloud applications
  • Laptop/Desktop preparation and setup, utilizing knowledge of Windows and its configuration, network environment, and inter-connectivity with servers and printers
  • Client account administration in Office 365 and Active Directory
  • Track and engage in communication around scheduled work, as well as update clients as changes occur
  • Log accurate and detailed case notes within the Clearview ticketing system and other documentation systems
  • Assess the need for documentation updates and inform management of any necessary changes
  • Maintain a positive attitude with a client-centric focus
  • Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Support the deployment of advanced technical solutions, including new deployments and service modifications
  • Provide excellent support to customers remotely or onsite
  • Support complex migrations and configurations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


What is required for consideration?

  • 6+ years of professional work experience in the IT industry
  • Intermediate knowledge of Intune and Autopilot
  • Expertise in Windows configurations and services
  • Working knowledge of DNS, both internal and external
  • Operational experience with physical and virtual networking
  • Applied knowledge in cloud solution with AWS, Azure, or OCI
  • Experience with virtualization, clustering, and high availability
  • Active Directory experience with both on-premises and Azure AD
  • Practical understanding of M365 licensing, configuration, best practices, and feature set
  • Ability to troubleshoot VPN, internet connectivity losses, remote desktop, and peripherals, including printers, scanners, and monitors
  • Expertise in and capacity to troubleshoot Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity with administration of Office 365 and Exchange Online
  • Proficiency in navigation and administration of Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Windows file shares (SMB/CIFS)
  • Proven ability to review, understand, and implement SOPs and other written training
  • Superior oral and written communication skills


What is preferred for consideration?

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline preferred
  • Certifications: Microsoft, CCNA, or other security/networking security
  • Ability recognize and communicate potential issues and possible failure points in client system and processes
