Service Manager

White Star Machinery is an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment, including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and more. We offer comprehensive service both on-site and at our facility.

White Star Machinery - Topeka, KS is actively seeking a Service Manager dedicated to delivering exceptional service and prioritizing customer satisfaction. Starting salary at $65,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience level.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining a qualified team of customer-focused service technicians.
• Develop and implement effective repair methodologies, optimizing job flows to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Cultivate customer relationships to promote service work satisfaction. Manage warranty service processes to ensure fair treatment and maximize reimbursement from vendors.
• Forecast capital expenditures for departmental improvements. Maintain shop equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good repair and comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA).
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior management experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a field or service technician preferred.
• A team orientation with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
• Personable, problem solver, a leader, ethical, intelligent and able to function calmly in stressful situations.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, other department personnel, peers and management.
