Nineteen Thirty Seven Spirits and Eatery is seeking Servers to join our team!

Nineteen Thirty Seven Spirits and Eatery is looking for friendly and engaging individuals with a passion for food and service to join our team. Our restaurant offers native Florida and East Coast seafood sourced directly from local fisherman complemented by coastal cuisine imported from around the world with all products held to exceptionally high standards of quality and freshness.

Pay: $8.98 an hour + tips

The position is full-time with benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401k, and paid time off.

Job Purpose

To provide guidance and expertise to our guests delivered in a warm, friendly, courteous, patient, and knowledgeable manner. Our Service Concierge team has a passion for people, service, food, and spirits and are responsible for delivering gracious hospitality with a strong knowledge of our products and Company. The team operates efficiently, providing team-based service, enthusiastic promotion of our product, and provides a positive and memorable guest experience. To be successful, you must be able to multitask and provide excellent communication with team members and guests.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Take guests orders for food and beverages.
  • Use upselling techniques while taking guests orders to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
  • Ensure all orders are carefully entered into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Operate a cash register and take payments from guests accurately.
  • Responsibly manage all cash and charge transactions in a balanced fashion.
  • Light food preparation.
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests.
  • Engage guests while at tables offering extra drinks and food items.
  • Ensure all guests have an exceptional experience.
  • Must gain expert knowledge of all menu items.
  • Handle guest concerns with a positive attitude
  • Maintain clean, sanitized, organized and safe environment for all guests and Team Members
  • Clear tables of used dishes and sanitize tables between guests to ensure a quick turnaround.
  • Sweeping and mop dining room floors.
  • Keep all guest areas clean, sanitized, organized and safe.
  • Ensure garbage is emptied in a timely manner throughout the day.
  • Maintain all running side work to ensure all areas are well stocked.
  • Respectful communication with all team members.
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules.
  • Follow all opening and closing checklists.
  • Always check with Manager on Duty prior to clocking out.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior Server experience required
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent oral communication, written and listening skills.
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Excellent customer service skills
