The Bywater is looking for motivated and experienced server to join our team!
Shifts are 3-4 days per week, must be avialabe Friday-Monday.
Must have at least 2 years of serving experience in a full service restaurant.
Get transported to the city of New Orleans. Founded by Andrew Burnham and David Kinch, former chef owner of the three-Michelin star Manresa Restaurant, The Bywater celebrates the city where Kinch first learned how to cook. Position Overview:
The Bywater, a vibrant and authentic New Orleans-inspired restaurant located in Los Gatos, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Restaurant Servers. As a Server at The Bywater, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of New Orleans cuisine.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience as a server in a full service restaurant.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
Knowledge or interest in New Orleans cuisine and culture is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations.
Availability to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts.
Ability to stand and move for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and navigate a crowded restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing an excellent first impression.
Present menus, make recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy in orders and adherence to quality standards.
Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in making informed choices.
Monitor and anticipate guests' needs, responding promptly and courteously to requests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and coordinated service.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tables and service areas.
Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety protocols.
Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant, including side work duties as assigned.
Compensation:
Minimum wage of $16 per hour, with opportunities for tips.
