The Career Opportunity: the SEO Manager will develop and implement SEO strategies that will increase our clients’ website traffic. You will be responsible for providing instructions to content writers and ad executives on how to write SEO-friendly content, analyzing SEO strategies of clients’ competitors, and tracking the success of SEO campaigns we execute.


You will also use Google Analytics regularly to gather in-depth performance reports, track the latest SEM developments to stay up to date with all important changes or updates, and execute effective link building strategies.


Additional responsibilities include identifying SEO problems and suggesting solutions, performing keyword research, and analyzing URL architecture, page errors, and other website-related issues.

This role is not focused on a single brand website. This role is responsible for maintaining SEO best practices for our customer websites.


The position is remote. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.


Areas of Accountability:

The SEO Manager has responsibility for the following outcomes:

SEO Strategy: Create and oversee the SEO strategy for 2 high performing brands inside the PracticeTek organization. Lead strategy with content and ad teams to ensure content plan is SEO driven. This includes, but is not limited to: Keyword Research, On-Page Optimization, Technical SEO and Link Building.


Website Audits: analyze the structure and content of client websites and perform website audits to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.


SEO Reporting and Analytics: use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track and analyze a website's performance to make informed decisions about what SEO tactics are working and what needs to be improved.


Current Trends: stay updated with the latest SEO trends and developments.


Competencies for Success:

5 years of experience in SEO management

Analytical skills: SEO Manager must recognize patterns in search engine behavior, assess data, make informed decisions, and prioritize improvements that can benefit site progress.

SEO tools: SEO Manager will use SEO software to measure, track, and analyze data. A readiness to learn and adapt to advancements is essential for using these tools.

Technical SEO: SEO Manager is expected to have technical skills that can make it easier for search engines to find and understand a website. This includes getting rid of any duplicate content or broken links and improving the overall structure of the sites.

Research: SEO Manager will conduct ongoing keyword research and keep up to date on changes in search engine algorithms and industry news.

Content: SEO Manager must be able to distinguish good from mediocre content and liaison with the content team to create effective, SEO based content.

Adaptability, project management aptitude, solid communication skills, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to work within multiple teams is critical.


At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $64350-$95000 for this position.
