Senior Video Specialist

Freese and Nichols is searching for a Senior Video Specialist in our Fort Worth, Texas office to pioneer our in-house video program. This is a unique opportunity to launch a comprehensive video strategy from the ground up and shape the future of visual storytelling at Freese and Nichols. As the Senior Video Specialist, you will communicate Freese and Nichols' strategic messages and brand identity through visual media.

First-Year Responsibilities

  • Casts short-term and long-term vision for video at Freese and Nichols
  • Sets criteria for when video will be used and standards for quality
  • Establishes the budget for the video program and oversees purchases such as equipment and software
  • Develops and implements workflow processes for video planning, production, and distribution
  • Audits our current video assets

Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Develops video communications strategies in accordance with the Freese and Nichols Strategic Plan 
  • Produces video, audio and digital communications in various formats for internal and external channels
  • Conceptualizes video assets through storyboarding, directing, shooting, lighting, recording, and editing
  • Manages projects with multiple stakeholders, contributors, or vendors if necessary
  • Plans, scouts, and selects locations
  • Analyzes and makes creative and technical decisions
  • Interviews technical staff, corporate leaders, and clients
  • Regularly collaborates with the marketing team
  • Designs and develops motion graphics to enhance video
  • Maintains audio/video equipment and software
  • Writes video and social media captions and scripts

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of video experience (production, concept development, filming, and editing)
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in communications, film studies, cinematography, public relations, journalism, or other related discipline
  • Proficiency in Adobe CCS (After Effects, Premiere, Audition) or similar editing software
  • Ability to operate camera equipment, DSLR HD cameras and camcorders, microphones, and field and lighting equipment
  • Ability to follow creative direction and work independently
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • FCC-Certified Drone Pilot’s license
  • Experience working in the A/E/C industry, in a television production studio, broadcast news outlet, or in a video production environment
