Tarantino Properties is seeking a Senior Vice President, Property Management who is an experienced leader and passionate about building winning teams. This person will have direct oversight of Regional Managers and form a close working relationship with these senior managers in the execution of the tasks and objectives.


The candidate for this role must reside in Houston, Texas.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversees critical functional area of the company- property management. Provides direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives through the management company down to the individual asset level.
  • Coordinates the annual property operations plan and budget and demonstrates behavior standards to achieve financial results.
  • Supervise and create training strategies and programs for property management associates at all levels. Assign duties for responsibilities within the portfolio to team members and provide mentoring and career guidance to team.
  • Understand geographies and property sectors for all properties so that Tarantino sites prevail in the marketplace. Understand current and future trends in demographics, job growth, economic drivers, product supply as well as any other market forces. Visit and review properties, tour competing projects.
  • This person will be expected to add consistent value to the team as well as bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the real estate group generally in addition to his/her specific responsibilities.
  • Review and enhance/re-create the guidelines and approach for property management of the properties within the portfolio as appropriate to ensure that Tarantino creates and implements best practices in terms of property management reporting, performance metrics and tracking, and other processes.
  • Working in partnership with the leadership team to establish and drive execution of a robust strategic plan and design the change process to implement the initiatives that emerge from such both for the property management group as well as the company as a whole.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of ten to fifteen years of work experience with increasing responsibility in overseeing the operations of real estate assets in multiple markets. Multifamily experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor Degree is required. An MBA or other advanced degree related to real estate or operations is a plus.
