Job Description

We are looking to add a Senior Vice President, Planning to our iProspect team. You will lead a dynamic team, working across a portfolio of beacon luxury brands. In addition to client leadership, this SVP, Planning’s role is also one of agency leadership; you will be responsible for both our client relationship as well agency and department programs.

The SVP, Planning role is to provide strategic direction for assigned accounts and expresses an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of your client’s business and the media landscape and luxury/competitive marketplace. You will be the broad thinking driver and motivator of the strategy and activation teams that support a given division. The SVP of Planning cultivates client and media relationships specifically at senior levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Lead overarching media strategy ensure it is aligned and meets client goals
  • Manage the work of assigned planning groups, providing direction and encouragement
  • Partner with Global brand leads to ensure continuity across markets
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of client brands, target audiences and motivations
  • Initiate long-term projects for teams to contribute to greater agency revenue
  • Demonstrate analytical and strategic skills to help solve client’s business problems
  • Keep current with industry trends, media business and tools
  • Manage assigned groups’ staffing needs (hiring, promotions, performance)
  • Partner with agency leadership to lead scope development and ongoing management of account financials

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with senior clients
  • Manage expectations of senior clients and deliverables
  • Represent the client’s point of view when reviewing work, use this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
  • Grow business opportunities within current clients
  • Ensure collaboration among all agency departments and global markets; foster great teamwork and connectivity

Communication:

  • Direct the development of client presentations and other client communications
  • Demonstrate storytelling skills that challenge how a client thinks about their business
  • Adapt communications style to relevant audience
  • Move audience to desired action through clear delivery of information
  • Encourage open, ongoing internal communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous luxury category experience
  • 12 + years of marketing/communications planning experience, which include client management experience
  • Media planning and buying experience in the Digital and Social and knowledge of offline channels, e.g. Out-of-Home
  • Experience managing large teams, directly and indirectly
  • Collaborative and able to bring people from different disciplines, internal and external to the agency, together to achieve desired outcomes
  • Current knowledge of trends and innovations in media in the luxury space

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $163,000-263,350. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
