This position is considered Office-First. An office-first employee is an employee within the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area whose default work location is a designated office and has office presence at least four days per week, specifically, Monday through Thursday. An office-first employee may at times perform work outside of a designated office location based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. Scooter’s Coffee is a quickly growing, drive thru coffee brand looking for a strong Senior Vice President, Marketing to join our team. Based out of Omaha, NE, with approximately 800 locations and operations in over 30 states, we are looking for an entrepreneurial leader that has a passion for creatively and strategically growing and scaling an organization, and a personal conviction for our core values. We are growing rapidly, so we are looking for a high energy leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment, contributes to culture and core values, and is excited to develop and optimize the Marketing team.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Senior Vice President, Marketing is a member and strategic partner of a strong leadership team, seeking to maximize and develop talent and strategy to drive excellent and sustainable growth. This role is responsible for leading a growing marketing team of over 20 professionals throughout the United States. Relationships and people leadership will be critical for this role. The SVP must build strong and successful relationships with franchisees, external vendors and agencies, their team and cross functional partners. The SVP will get creative and lead a team to come up with out of the box ideas to build the brand of a lifetime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop out of the box campaigns and support campaigns to strategically grow the brand
Invest in understanding the Scooter’s Coffee model and how marketing supports the success of the model
Evaluate the existing marketing process and procedure and work collaboratively with leadership team to ensure processes are effectively optimized
Use a combination of industry research and customer feedback to innovate and grow brand
Work cross functionally to keep marketing team aligned and connected with overall goals of the organization
Provide strategic and tactical leadership of marketing space
Assess market studies and trends and prepare major initiatives through long-range planning
Develop and execute annual business plan in concert with the company’s mission, objectives and core values
Manage multiple external vendors and agencies
Own annual 2% marketing fund, including creation and adherence to budget
Leadership
Live out company core values daily and with conviction; leading by example
Show strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities
Help make crucial marketing decisions, lead the execution of those decisions and advise the CSO and other leaders on risk, reward and ROI
Continually asses and support the Marketing team and ensure they are structured and resourced effectively to meet all objectives
Foster collaboration amongst different departments within marketing
Develop trusted relationships with franchisees
Demonstrate high energy, robust leadership and strategic collaboration
Approach business with entrepreneurial spirit to drive solutions and growth
Develop strategic vision for the Marketing teams long-term success & growth
Develop stretch goals for team including KPI’s and metrics
Set and model standards of service that focus on customer care and professional collaboration
Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance quality, business practices and productivity
Invest in growing talent by instilling confidence in marketing team and providing clear feedback when needed
8+ years’ experience in a strategic, senior leadership role
Experience leading large teams of 20+ professionals, including multiple levels of downline leadership
Experience as a part of a franchised organization preferred
Experience in QSR, restaurant or retail industry preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Master’s Degree preferred
Experience within a large (500+ units) growing organization
Experience managing multiple external agencies and contracts
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans
Able to develop and maintain metrics-driven expectations and results
Strong relationship builder with experience in growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environments
Demonstrated ability to create positive, efficient teams through mentorship, coaching and feedback
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, high growth environment and effectively delegate
Strong communication skills within all levels of an organization including communication with C-Suite, vendors, strategic partnerships and team
Ability to present in a compelling manner to all levels of the organization and externally
Ability to travel up to 25% of time
Currently lives in Omaha, NE or available for full, immediate relocation to Omaha, NE
