We’re seeking a team member for the role of SVP, Internal Communications to join our Internal Communications Team in the Marketing & Communications function. This role is located in New York City, NY and is a HYBRID position.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Lead the development of hybrid internal and external communications strategies for the enterprise, and for specific partner organizations (functions or lines of business), based around clear outcomes, with specific tactics and success metrics.
Build outstanding written communications including key messages, talking points, FAQs and other collateral
Lead discussions with colleagues to establish a perspective on issues relevant to the reputation of the firm
Inspire creativity and culture throughout the team, acting as a model for others as a leader in the communications organization
Partner with individuals up to and including executive committee members, building trust and adding value in interactions
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor's / master’s degree in communication, journalism / Marketing, or a related field
10-15 years of proven experience in communication roles, with a focus on internal communication
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity
Proficiency in utilizing various communication tools and platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across geographies
Open communicator who can reach out to multiple stakeholders across hierarchy
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with digital communications tools, trends and best practices
Proven track record of being a part of successful communication campaigns in a corporate environment
Understanding of financial services industry is a plus

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
