HUNTER is looking for a Senior Vice President to run a dynamic group of clients with the agency’s award-winning Food & Beverage unit. A Senior Vice President has a proven track record of managing a sizeable portion of the unit’s business, including development of strategic/integrated marketing comms plans (PR, social, digital, influencer, events, partnerships), providing strategic counsel to clients, management of accounts to ensure agency profitability, talent development/supervision and seeking/securing incremental opportunities. Senior Vice Presidents also play a key role in new business prospecting, from identifying opportunities, to leading new business pitches and presentations.

Qualifications Required:

  • B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related
  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position; four (4) or more years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Current or former Agency experience is highly preferred.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Continually explore and drive new/incremental business opportunities

Lead new business proposal development and presentations: review, analyze and interpret the RFP; assemble the team for the project; brainstorm strategic concepts; compile the presentation and lead the lead insights and analytics efforts; compile the presentation; lead the pitch meeting with prospective clients, etc.

Recognize and seek opportunities to grow client accounts; utilize relationships with clients to sell in incremental opportunities

Develop a vision for each account’s direction and work with team members to achieve goals

Take strategic risks to push accounts to the next level, in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities

Recognize and pursue opportunities to introduce clients to the agency’s specialized services, in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities

Maintain a strong network of professional contacts

Serve as senior counselor for clients

Develop and propose strategic, creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs; demonstrate an ability to autonomously handle these responsibilities when needed

Anticipate issues; recognize potential fiscal challenges and take action early to remedy them

Make recommendations for ways to meet client needs; demonstrate an expertise and understanding of the clients’ marketplace and business

Serve as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client events

Manage account financials: develop and manage budgets, fee estimates, out-of-pocket expenses, team hour allocations, billing, invoicing, etc.

Provide analysis to clients of program results

Build, lead and develop engaged and successful account teams

Participate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programs; drive brainstorm sessions for new business opportunities

Demonstrate strong writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communications skills

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $150K- $200K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
