The Senior Vice President is responsible for the vision, leadership and growth of Aptive’s a portfolio of projects across the federal civilian landscape. The SVP oversees high quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, financial performance and leadership development for the Civilian Health account. The ideal candidate will have extensive health experience and relationships in federal agencies with health mission; a proven track record of leading and winning high impact programs; and experience working directly with senior-level clients to shape and transformation efforts.
The SVP must be able to communicate and build effective relationships with clients, partners and staff and have experience navigating challenging situations, building high performing teams and articulating a vision and value proposition for Aptive’s services. Experience operating in a complex, cross-functional organization where teams must collaborate and integrate with other multi-disciplinary teams.
The SVP role requires a driven, assertive and action-oriented team player with previous experience in a senior leadership role. The ideal candidate must foster relationships with potential clients and utilize their network of federal government clients and business partners to inform business development opportunities.
This is a remote position with periodic travel to Aptive Headquarters in Alexandria, VA and other client sites as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
Set and lead the strategic vision and direction of Aptive’s Civilian Health account to address our Nation’s most pressing challenges across the federal civilian agencies – with an emphasis at the nexus of informatics, program evaluation, and implementation
Manage cross-functional teams, providing leadership, direction and guidance to ensure we deliver our best work and exceed client expectations
Acting in a proactive and passionate manner related to organizational growth, including inclusion and diversity, growth and development of people leaders, and functional excellence
Collaborate with Directors to shape and monitor engagement performance and financials, ensuring exceptional quality and proactive identification and mitigate of concerns
Work closely with Aptive Shared Services departments and lateral business units to ensure seamless integration, alignment and positive culture
Create opportunities for team members to learn and grow – promoting an organizational culture conducive to success
Manage highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams through continuous coaching and mentorship
Lead business development and capture activities, identifying opportunities that align to business line capabilities and growth goals
Identify potential teaming partners and cultivate/maintain those relationships to support new business opportunities across federal agencies
Build and foster relationships with federal partners and internal team members
Remain up to date on innovative communications, advertising and technology trends
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of experience with planning, developing, executing consulting opportunities across the federal health sector
10+ years of experience with federal government program and project management
Experience leading pursuit of federal government contracts from capture to submission
Ability to manage portfolio P&L in alignment with established key performance indicators and use previous experience managing P&L to inform financial and resource forecasting
Experience overseeing more than 10 contracts and supporting several different clients/agencies simultaneously
Ability to effectively manage sub-contractor relationships, teaming agreements and staffing requirements
Solution-oriented, capable self-starter with skill to make informed decisions independently
Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of projects totaling more than $25 million
Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to obtain a United States security clearance
