About The Role
We are seeking Senior Underwriters to join our US Managing General Agency (MGA) team. These roles are pivotal in our expanding underwriting department, responsible for developing and managing a profitable business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve profitability, retention, and premium goals set by the company.
Make informed underwriting decisions and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate with agents to develop and achieve annual business goals.
Maintain expertise in sports and fitness segment products.
Build strong, lasting relationships with brokers to grow our business.
Demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Articulate the Players Health value proposition clearly to brokers and agents.
Contribute to training and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Take ownership of personal and professional growth goals.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of middle market and/or large account underwriting experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Characteristics
Familiarity with Socotra and/or Salesforce, or a quick learner of new technologies.
Self-motivated and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Strong emotional intelligence and influence skills.
Ability to build rapport across departments.
Knowledge or involvement in youth/amateur sports is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Occasional travel for team events, conferences, or client meetings (15%-20%).

Proficient in various communication tools including Outlook, Slack, and Teams.
Located in or willing to work within the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

Benefits
We offer a competitive salary based on experience ($100,000 - $155,000 range) and a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, Flexible PTO, LTD, and 401K.
