ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Trade Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, will be responsible for developing brand elevating + customer centric retail marketing plans. This position is key to driving profitable business growth and building brand loyalty + equity for all wholesale accounts and salon. Additionally, the Senior Trade Marketing Manager will lead end-to-end strategy for all digital product detail pages and support the development, production and execution of digital assets, SEO copy optimizations and ratings + review management for new product launches and core. On an ongoing basis, the Senior Manager will measure the effectiveness of marketing programs during and post launch, providing regular updates.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

Retailer Support

  • Plan and execute all details of retailer- and salon-owned marketing initiatives in partnership with Key Account Director, aligning on trade budgets to develop strategic marketing programming inclusive of media plans, asset creation, influencer / social media requests and analytics/reporting with account partners
  • Create briefs that support asset creation for all trade marketing and event plans for all digital and 2D event materials, including in-store needs, trade events, and internal branded pieces including brand merch on behalf of the brand
  • Project manage retail/salon marketing programs, from creative kick-offs through to execution, including coordination and communication regarding program specifics and maintain project tracking documents and schedules to ensure key milestones are met
  • Own and manage strategic corporate sampling programs meeting key brand priorities and objectives and delivering a strong ROI on programming
  • Manage and actively communicate retail marketing calendar for new launches and always-on cadence alongside Brand Marketing and Sales team stakeholders
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions on disruptive ways to launch new products and activate core assortment through 360 activations
  • Assist channel owners and accounts with specific retailer/salon marketing day-to-day requests in promoting brand awareness and exposure on digital channels (copy, imagery, stills, video)
  • Support the creation of retailer/salon brand presentations including seasonal market meetings and monthly touch bases with accounts

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work with the internal Creative, Brand Marketing and eCommerce teams, across digital, retail and consumer to determine + brief in proper needs and execution by channel
  • Interface and partner closely with Sales, Creative, Education, eCommerce, Product Development, Events, and Operations to champion plans and gain alignment and support to ensure timely development and execution of marketing programs including product quantity allocations and creative delivery
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing to strategize on unique ways to message, position and bring a product story or launch to life at retail/salon
  • Collaborate with channel owners and vendors on execution across all retailer/salon marketing plans (in-store, digital, social, influencer, events, etc.)
  • Partner with Key Account Directors and Director of Field Sales & Education to align and track budget targets for paid media, ratings and reviews and event collateral.
  • Partner with eCommerce team to maximize engagement efforts in order to drive traffic + conversion on Retailer.com

Impact Analytics & Insights

  • Help support the Sales team in leveraging analytics (notably engagement metrics) to optimize activities and spend across paid and organic content + experience pillars, continuously try-test-learn mindset.
  • Manage annual Trade Marketing calendars for key retailers tracking all retail marketing programs, budgets and sales results to better impact future planning and campaign reporting.
  • Lead quarterly impact performance reports + competitive updates to ensure goals, measure KPIs, provide actionable insights and modify programs accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ Years relevant retail marketing experience; relevant premium beauty experience required, preferably with direct experience with and/or management of Sephora or Ulta retail relationships
  • Omnichannel marketing brand experience required
  • Brings a creative + commercial mindset to the position
  • Ability to manage multiple retailers simultaneously
  • Demonstration of strong project management skills and proven leadership skills
  • Excellent planning, communication, and presentation skills
  • Extremely collaborative with the ability to coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional partners.

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Briogeo / Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $100,000 - $115,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Briogeo / Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
