Senior Technical UI Designer

We are working with a fully remote studio based in North America. They are looking for a Senior Technical UI Designer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in blueprint-based workflows and will work closely with design and development teams to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces using Unreal Engine's UMG and CommonUI Widgets. This role does not involve traditional coding but requires a deep understanding of visual scripting and materials within Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interfaces using Unreal Engine's UMG and CommonUI Widgets.
• Develop and optimize blueprints to create efficient and scalable UI systems.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to ensure seamless integration of UI elements.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine materials to enhance the visual quality of UI components.
• Create and integrate 2D animations within Unreal Engine to bring UI elements to life.
• Ensure all UI elements are intuitive, responsive, and meet design specifications.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Unreal Engine and proficiency in blueprint scripting.
• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine UMG and CommonUI Widgets.
• Experience with 2D animation within Unreal Engine.
• Solid knowledge of materials within Unreal Engine.
• Prior experience in a similar role within the gaming industry or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
