Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our recruitment efforts and build a world-class team. In this project-based, Washington, DC based hybrid role, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in talent acquisition, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role is pivotal in identifying, attracting, and securing top talent to drive our mission forward.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent across various departments. Align recruitment strategies with organizational goals and objectives
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of recruiters, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the talent acquisition team
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize innovative sourcing techniques, including social media, networking, and partnerships with industry organizations, to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. Implement best practices for interviewing, assessment, and selection to ensure the right fit for the organization
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and provide expert guidance on workforce planning and talent management
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process. Develop strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates and promote an inclusive workplace culture
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making
  • Employer Branding: Enhance the organization's employer brand through various channels, including social media, job fairs, and partnerships with educational institutions. Promote the organization as an employer of choice

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a proven track record of successful hires.
  • Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and take initiative in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and recruitment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
