Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior System Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Mission Viejo, CA office. As a Senior System Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems for our clients. You will also serve as a technical leader and mentor for junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage client IT infrastructures, including servers, storage, networks, and security systems.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex technical issues.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored IT solutions.
Conduct system performance tuning and capacity planning.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of client systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in system engineering or a related role, within an MSP environment.
Proficiency in Windows server environments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
