JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Administrator has the responsibility to plan, Implement, oversee and maintain server and network infrastructures and projects in the Atlantic Packaging US Division. This role will ensure all corporate IT infrastructure compliance as well as implement standards and procedures/policies governing critical infrastructure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing, installing, and configuring internal and customer-facing servers, network devices, firewalls, OT systems, and switches.
• Proactively managing and maintaining all servers, network, firewall, OT, and critical infrastructure.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and asset configuration documentation.
• Developing and executing a refresh process for critical systems.
• Defining and implementing best practices and support procedures.
• Monitoring, measuring, and maintaining disaster recovery processes and procedures.
• Implementing reporting and monitoring (KPIs) for infrastructure performance.
• Developing and implementing project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Collaborating with technical staff as necessary to resolve complex issues.
• Assisting in evaluating and negotiating hardware, firewall, and telecom vendor contracts.
• Maintaining and enforcing Active Directory policies both on-premises and in Azure environments.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
• Regularly reporting on the security and reliability of all US infrastructure projects to the Senior Director of IT.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to company locations in the US; valid US passport required for occasional travel to Canada.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in an advanced technical role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory, LDAP and group administration
• Advanced knowledge of VMware and server storage systems
• Advanced knowledge of WAN/LAN networking
• A solid understanding of telecom services and infrastructure, including VOIP
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
• Must be organized and can manage multiple projects of varying lengths
• Positive and self-motivated that can complete tasks independently
• Advanced knowledge of Office 365 administration with multiple tenants
• Solid knowledge of SharePoint and Azure
• Knowledgeable of data governance, policy management and security governance
