SR. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Position Type: Contract, W-2
Location: Remote (EST)
Duration: 12-week project W/ possible extension.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Senior Systems Administrator – will work closely with existing Globalscape administrators, project sponsors, and resources to facilitate the implementation of Globalscape event rules. These rules will be used to manage data transmission from various sources to new destinations for ongoing financial projects. This role is essential for the consolidation of file movement from a legacy application (T-Rex) into Globalscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide subject matter expertise for the Globalscape EFTP platform, with required experience in Microsoft Azure and Active Directory.
Work with the project team to develop Globalscape event rules in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
Perform common system administration tasks on the Globalscape system when necessary.
Support integrations between third-party tools or services and Globalscape.
Assist in real-time troubleshooting of Globalscape event rules and file movement processes.
Ensure 24x7 operations of the mission-critical Globalscape systems.
Collaborate with Information Security to ensure data security for production, staging, and development environments as they relate to Globalscape.
Ensure compliance with PCI policies.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum BS/BA degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of systems administrator experience.
At least 6 months of experience with Globalscape.
Minimum 1 year of experience manipulating Active Directory or Azure environments.
Experience with management and support of Windows, Azure Cloud, and Active
Directory.
Experience with PowerShell, VB script, Python, or other batch scripting
technologies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Understanding of mature Enterprise processes, Change Control, Release Management, and Governance.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Expert-level debug/troubleshooting skills.
Experience with enterprise applications (support and troubleshooting).
