Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team of engineers providing structural design to day responsibilities for transportation improvements located at various project sites include:

1. The ability to work either as part of a team or independently, to effectively manage time, and to complete assigned tasks and projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
2. Design and detailing of transportation structures including highway and railroad bridges, retaining walls, and box culverts
3. Structural calculations
4. Technical reports
5. Preparation of contract plans and specifications
6. Cost Estimating
7. Structural Inspections
8. Project Management
9. Preparation of professional service proposals and agreements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors in Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
2. A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the field of transportation and or bridge design related structures is required
3. Current Professional Engineering license is required
4. Fluency with MicroStation and Structural Analysis software is required
5. Candidate must be proficient in technical writing with a strong knowledge of IDOT policies
