Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer specializing in industrial and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the structural design, analysis, and implementation of complex projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of structural engineering principles, a strong background in industrial and wastewater facility design, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and analysis for industrial and wastewater projects, including foundations, steel and concrete structures, and other related systems.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and project managers to develop innovative solutions and ensure project success.
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and construction submittals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial and wastewater projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, ASCE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with seismic design and analysis.
- Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices.
- Advanced knowledge of materials and construction methods used in industrial and wastewater facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform site visits and inspections, which may include climbing and lifting
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client meetings.
