The Position:

The Senior Staff Accountant prepares and reviews journal entries, performs research and analysis, maintains the general ledger, performs account reconciliations, assists with audit preparations, and carries out other accounting duties as may be required.

Your Duties:

• Responsible for the accuracy and presentation of all balance sheet reconciliations for month end close.
• Perform daily balancing of several financial modules to the general ledger.
• Partner closely with the Accounting Manager to drive accounting policy alignment, reporting quality, and timeliness.
• Prepare journal entries and review posted entries for accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute daily, and monthly reports, for management review.
• Support budget and forecasting activities.
• Manage capital expenditure requests and allocations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3-5 years in a Staff Accountant or equal role required.
• Advanced Excel Skills, i.e. VLookups, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, etc.
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
