THIS ROLE IS ON-SITE IN TALLAHASSEE, FL
The Sr. SQA Manager utilizes a combination of the customized iTEST® methodology and Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate’s existing policies and processes to accurately determine the required quality solution. This enables precise identification of the size and composition of Software Quality Assurance resources essential for the project.
Additionally, the Sr. SQA Manager:
Understands the overarching business goals and objectives, aligning the solution accordingly.
Acts as the main point of contact for the client, project vendors, and stakeholders, overseeing the iLAB Test Team and the overall quality assurance effort.
Participates actively in all project lifecycle phases, including requirements review, test planning, execution, and reporting.
Assumes various responsibilities throughout the project, including reviewing system documentation, delivering the Test Strategy, formulating regression test strategies, identifying integration points, managing testing activities, and reporting progress.
Ensures effective coordination with the Project Management Office (PMO) team by presenting Quality Assurance tasks and time estimates for integration into the project plan.
Provides quality metrics to Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate Leadership for informed decision-making.
Manages defect reporting, risk, and issue management, and collaborates with Developers and Business Analysts.
Oversees the testing team, ensuring proper capacity planning, and offers recommendations for scheduling releases and upgrades based on team capacity.
Identifies complex situations and proposes solutions, supporting client needs for enhanced quality and cost efficiencies.
Actively participates in process improvement initiatives, including feedback on deployed processes.
Manages Test Closure activities, obtains Testing Sign-Off, ensures client satisfaction, and identifies Lessons Learned.
Manages and tracks the budget utilization of the SQA Team and the remaining budget.
Qualified Candidates will meet the following expectations:
Bachelor’s Degree; 8+ years of proven project management experience
PMP Certification desired
Experience establishing a Test Center of Excellence
Expert knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle models (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Expert knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
Self-motivated and able to lead and motivate a team
Ability to resolve issues within the team and project effectively
Ability to mitigate challenging situations and clients
Results-driven / oriented
Highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment
Ability to prioritize, plan, and lead multiple tasks and people
Excel at presenting to and interacting with all levels of management and client representatives
ISTQB, Foundational Level Certification desired
Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.)
IT Consulting experience
Proficient knowledge of SQL
