About The Role
Join us as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on backend development, where you'll play a critical role in sculpting our company's technological and cultural foundations. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your Java expertise to build and implement robust backend systems, contributing significantly to our growth trajectory. As a key player in our engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with other experts and product managers to bring our ambitious product roadmap to life.
What You'll Do
Architectural Influence: Drive the development and optimization of our backend architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Strategic Impact: Actively participate in strategic discussions, offering insights that shape our technology direction and product innovation.
Collaborative Engineering: Work alongside talented engineers to design and implement features, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Partner Management: Build strong relationships with technology partners, facilitating seamless integration and collaboration.
Cloud-Native Expertise: Utilize your experience with cloud-native technologies, including CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, AWS, Docker, Terraform), to enhance our development and deployment processes.
Problem-Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges, applying your problem-solving skills and high-achiever mindset to deliver effective solutions.
Qualifications
Proven Backend Expertise: At least five (5) years of experience in Java.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to engage with strategic aspects of the business, demonstrating a keen interest in contributing to the company's direction.
Consumer Company Experience: Previous experience in scaling technology for consumer-facing companies, with a preference for those who've worked in Investment Fintechs.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent collaborative skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in team environments.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of software architecture and the creation of interfaces to manage complex systems.
Cloud-Native Environment Comfort: Familiarity with cloud-native environments and tools like GitHub, AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
Bonus
Experience with GraphQL API development and full-stack development (specifically Typescript and React) is highly regarded.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
