We are currently seeking a Senior Site Engineer who can work cross-functionallywith multiple Implementation Teams including our Feature, Platform, and Operations teams to solve problems and improveour products and services.This role will need to view our platform holistically and work towards ensuring it is scalable, reliable, observable, and extendable. We expect you to have strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will work closely with Sertifi’s development, platform and infrastructure teams to create automated systems that build, deploy, and manage our applications and their associated platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a team, but is able to be a Player / Coach.

Challenges You’ll Tackle:
  • Serve as key leader and expert on DevOps and evangelize Best Practices across teams.
  • Plan and execute Site Engineering tasks and coordinate with platform and feature teams on new environments/infrastructure
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to other Site Engineering team members.
  • Maintaining and improving automation of software releases that include generation of release documentation, provisions for rolling back, and active monitoring of new versions.
  • Communicating of any issues identified in new releases and coordinating their resolution.
  • Release Coordination
  • Always looking for ways to improve / automate existing processes
  • Participate in the system team’s on-call rotation for production outages
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Deep experience with CI/CD services like Teamcity, Octopus Deploy, Github Actions
  • Must have a good understanding of DevOps and SRE methodologies.
  • Experience working with Cloud services such as compute, databases, VPCs, networking, security and storage
  • Experience with automation tools and configuration-as-code (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Vagrant, etc.)
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep etc)
  • Strong understanding and experience in Release Management
  • Experience utilizing containers in CI/CD
  • Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS)
Nice to haves:
  • Experience with Github Actions and YAML Configs
  • Any related cloud or vendor certifications
  • Experience with Liquibase and respective pipelines
  • Background in networking technologies
