Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Senior Scheduler throughout the United States to join our team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.


  • Perform tasks required to develop baseline schedules for projects, including cost and resource loading. Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with construction management. May assemble data from variety of sources including A/E, client engineering, other contractors, and the like.
  • Update cost and resource-loaded schedules and assist in preparation of pay applications. Includes collecting actual quantities installed, assessing progress data supplied by others and visual inspections.
  • Train Project Schedulers to update schedules as described above.
  • Supervise Project Schedulers and coordinates with project management to identify and track potential issues and delays.
  • Develop Time Impact Analyses to help quantify delays and changes.
  • Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for items such as change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems.
  • Support supervision through preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules.
  • May provide supervision and/or on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
  • Manage subcontractor scheduling.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Four-year engineering degree plus five or more more years similar construction scheduling experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to select/apply resource monitoring and control techniques such as CPM networks scheduling, computer scheduling techniques, etc. as well as an understanding of the nature of process systems, structures and construction technology required.


Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

  • Work primarily in an office environment.
  • Frequently sits for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently use a computer keyboard and office related equipment.
  • Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping or bending.
  • Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
  • Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
