Candidates must possess authorisation to work for any employer in the U.S. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment Visa at this juncture. We do offer a work permit for the temporary months you are working in Amsterdam.



About The Role

We are always on a mission to make our ideas, products, and opportunities a top success. Our Energy team consists of a group of ambitious and entrepreneurial advisors, analysts, and traders. With more then 1.450 clients worldwide, activity in 50+ countries, a workforce of more then 175 colleagues with 25+ different nationalities, we continue to focus on growth within the world of Environmental commodities After years of active success in the USA, it is time for our organization to set foot there and now open a physical office there as well. In the Sales Trader role, you will spend the first few months training in Amsterdam to gain generalist knowledge of our company, products, culture and customers here, and then take this to our New York office. In this role, your focus will include Cooling gas, I-RECS (Energy Certificates), Carbon offsetting, Bio-fuels and Decarbonization.

Task and responsibilities

  • Conducting market research to analyse market trends, potential clients, and competitors to help inform business decisions.
  • Executing trades where you are responsible for execution on behalf of clients, following established trading protocols and procedures.
  • Building up a client portfolio through cold calling and active acquisition.
  • Developing strategies to improve performance: You boost client satisfaction and meet sales by maintaining existing relationships and creating your portfolio with new clients and stakeholders.


Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least +2 years in a Sales focused position in the renewable energy sector (Trader, Broker, New Business or similar). Non negotiable.
  • You are fluent in English. The more languages, the better!
  • Adaptability. You will be trained in Amsterdam for a few months and then move with your team to the USA.
  • Eager, energetic, curious, and proactive by nature.
  • Independent, but also a strong team player.
  • Curious, persistent and full of guts: this is an adventure for which you definitely need to possess these qualities.
