Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM i RPG Programmer with strong business analyst skills to join our 3-person team, working alongside a team lead and peer RPG developers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other IT staff and system users to support our client, a large distributor in the Southeast region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Engage in new development tasks and provide break/fix support.
  • Utilize change management processes effectively.
  • Familiarize yourself with the client's custom RPG applications and handle issue analysis, resolution, and follow-up using a ticketing system.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in modern RPG skills, particularly in ILE and FREE versions.
  • Familiarity with modernization tools and/or languages such as Node.js.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of Db2 and SQL.
  • Experience in the distribution industry is a bonus.

Additional Details

This is a full-time remote position, working under a contract with Tree Line Solutions. Candidates will be expected to undergo a background check as part of the evaluation process.
